LONDON—This September, a theater version of the bestselling novel Girl With a Pearl Earring, inspired by the eponymous 17th-century masterpiece by Vermeer, will premiere at the Cambridge Arts theater, reports the Guardian. The book was also made into a Hollywood film, in 2003, starring Colin Firth as the Dutch master and Scarlett Johansson as the wearer of the earring.
