Kevin Spacey will lend his voice to a theatrical piece by artists Elmgreen & Dragset at London's Old Vic theater.

LONDON—This fall, Kevin Spacey will be among those lending their voices to a number of sculptures in a theatrical piece by artists Elmgreen & Dragset, Bloomberg reports. The duo will stage a 45-minute production, Drama Queens, at London's Old Vic theater on October 12. The "intellectual slapstick comedy" will feature six figures moving by remote control — among them replicas of Jeff Koons's Rabbit, a Giacometti Walking Man, and a Warhol Brillo Box — with voices provided by Spacey and others.

"This is a chance for us to look at other art forms for creative inspiration and to engage audiences that might not traditionally come to the theater," said Spacey, the theater's artistic director, in an e-mailed statement. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Old Vic Theater Trust Creative Development Program.

Elgreen & Dragset will stage Drama Queens two days before the opening of their first solo commercial-gallery exhibition in the U.K. at London's Victoria Miro Gallery. The artists have also been selected to create the Nordic and Danish pavilions at the 2009 Venice Biennale.
