Hayward Gallery in London will be selling art bought on eBay, including the artist Moonshadow's customized My Little Pony, "Gothic Maytime."

LONDON—The prestigious Hayward Gallery is about to open a exhibition of artworks culled from the online auction site eBay, the Independent reports. The show, called “View Basket,” runs August 28 to September 28.

Curator Tom Morton found the 103 items in the exhibition by typing the word “conceptual” into eBay’s search engine. He purchased the pieces over a 10-day period using a modest budget of £5,000 ($9,300).

The Hayward has called "View Basket" an exhibition of "thrift store" art. According to the museum, the show’s aim is "to explore questions of how art is circulated, and how its provenance affects its cultural value."

"Every piece is, I think, visually interesting,” said Morton. “Whether it is good art and by what criteria it is judged, I leave up to the viewer."
