Deutsche Bank Auction to Benefit AIDS Orphans in Africa

STOCKHOLM—Tomorrow Deutsche Bank AG will auction artworks from its corporate collection to raise money for a foundation that benefits AIDS orphans in Africa, Bloomberg reports.

The auction will take place at a gala on board the cruise ship MS Europa, which will be docked in the Stockholm harbor. Michaela Neumeister of Phillips de Pury & Co. will be the event’s auctioneer.

Works for sale include Georg Baselitz’s Bohemian Woman (1998), lithographs by A. R. Penck, a Sigmar Polke silkscreen from 1996, Gerhard Richter's Occupied House (1990), and Isa Genzken's XXL-Flag (2007).

Deutsche Bank's collection comprises about 50,000 works from the past century. It is the largest corporate collection in the world.
