Mixing political statements about terrorism and the Iraq war with poems by Wislawa Szymborska, the epigrams will cascade down the Guggenheim in a flurry of white lettering. This will be the first time that the museum has commissioned a work that uses the facade of the the Frank Lloyd Wright–designed building. "The shapely building always provides inspiration," Holzer said. After an inauguration on September 22 at 6:45 p.m. in which Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg will switch it on, the installation will be on view from sunset until 11 p.m. every Friday evening through December, with a special showing on New Year's Eve.
