Museum of Arts and Design Receives 800-Piece Collection of Silver Jewelry

NEW YORK—The Museum of Arts and Design, formerly known as the American Craft Museum, has received a donation of 800 pieces of silver jewelry from Daniel and Serga Nadler, reports the New York Times. The jewelry was collected from ethnic artisans from countries around the world, including China, Egypt, India, Mexico and Myanmar. Highlights of the collection will be displayed as part of the exhibition “Forward Thinking: Building the MAD Collection,” beginning September 27 at the museum's new location on Columbus Circle.
