Suffolk University filed plans with Boston officials for a new 10-story, $68 million building to house the school’s art school, the Boston Globe reports.
After some local resistance to its expansion plans, the university reached an agreement with community groups in June and the city subsequently approved a blueprint for the school’s expansion. Still, city and local reviews of the design for the art tower will likely take months to complete.
Suffolk says that it hopes to complete the building, which includes a ground floor gallery, by 2011.
