Philadelphia Museum Appoints Search Committee for New DirectorBy ARTINFO

PHILADELPHIA—The Philadelphia Museum of Art has announced a search committee to find a replacement for former director Anne d'Harnoncourt, who died on June 1, 2008. The committee is headed by co-chairs Martha H. Morris and Keith L. Sachs and also includes Barbara B. Aronson, Julian A. Brodsky, John G. Drosdick, David W. Haas, Victoria McNeil Le Vine, and Mary Patterson McPherson. Each committee member is a trustee of the museum. A search firm to assist in the process will be named at a later date.
Following d’Harnoncourt’s death, the museum appointed chief operating officer Gail Harrity as its interim chief executive officer and associate director of collections Alice Beamesderfer as interim head of curatorial affairs. |
