The partnership kicks off with a selling exhibition of 24 works, on view October 23 through November 17 in Phillips's London offices. Each will be available in an edition of 7, with prices starting at £20,000 ($37,200). The show is timed to run concurrently with the survey "Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer's Life, 1990-2005," on view at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Leibovitz was previously represented by Edwynn Houk Gallery in New York, which had no comment about the move, according to Artnet. Phillips also represents the estate of French photographer Guy Bourdin and has mounted shows of works by Mario Testino. |
