FRANKFURT, Germany—The Deutsche Bank AG has permanently loaned 600 works to Frankfurt's contemporary Staedel Museum.

Drawn from the bank's corporate collection of 53,000 works, the loan includes pieces by Anselm Kiefer, Gerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys, Sigmar Polke, Georg Baselitz, and Martin Kippenberger. There are 370 graphic works, 161 works on paper, and 60 paintings and sculptures.

Deutsche Bank CEO Josef Ackermann said the bank, Germany's biggest, wants to make its collection accessible to a wider audience.

Some of the works will be on display at the Staedel from October 2 to November 9. The rest will eventually be exhibited in the museum's planned extension, scheduled for completion in 2011.
