James Welling's "Glass House" (2006) is available at the online Art for Obama auction.

NEW YORK—Art for Obama, a weeklong online auction of photographs, kicks off this week, Artnet reports. The benefit was organized by five independent artists, with works donated by photographers including Uta Barth, Dawoud Bey, Wolfgang Tillmans, and James Welling. The auction begins tomorrow at 5 p.m.; all proceeds will go to MoveOn.org.

In other Obama art news, an organization called artObama is holding a silent auction on October 3 to benefit the Obama Victory Fund and ActBlue.

And tonight, the restaurant Hiro in Chelsea's Maritime Hotel is hosting a viewing of the vice-presidential debate. Tickets range from $50 for admission to $500 for a set of limited edition campaign buttons designed by Elizabeth Peyton, Cecily Brown, and Laura Owens; a signed poster by Rirkrit Tiravanija; a patriotic party favor by Rachel Harrison; and a raffle ticket for a glitter painting of a polar bear by Rob Pruitt.  Proceeds from the event will also go to the Obama Victory Fund.
