MIAMI—Fernando and Humberto Campana will receive the Designer of the Year award at the Design Miami fair in December, Mediabistro's blog UnBeige reports. As part of their prize, the Brazilian brothers will design a special installation at the fair, as well as its VIP lounge, which is sponsored by HSBC.

The installation, titled Diamantina, places Brazilian amethyst crystals into a woven structure to produce a series of biomorphic islands on which visitors can sit. "The inspiration for the name alludes to the precious stones encrusted into the piece, and is also the name of a small town in the central part of Brazil," the brothers said in a statement issued by the fair.
