ATHENS—Greek archaeologists have discovered two ancient Roman sculptures on the Aegean Sea island of Kythnos, 60 miles southeast of Athens, reports the Associated Press. The stone torso of a man in armor and the head of a bearded man were reused to build a wall protecting the harbor, and were found built into the sunken ancient wall. A statement from the Ministry of Culture said it was unclear whether the head matched the torso, which stands 4 1/2
feet high. Both pieces date from the era of Rome's control of Greece, between
146 B.C. and A.D. 330.
