BERLIN—Monika Sprüth and Philomene Magers have announced that they will open a new space in Berlin on October 18. The new gallery is located in the Gartenbau on the Oranienburger Strasse, previously an old Resource Clubs ballroom and later a lecture hall for Humboldt University. The first show will be sculptures by Thomas Scheibitz in the main gallery, with works on paper by George Condo in the second-floor space.

Sprüth and Magers currently operate galleries in Cologne, Munich, and London. The opening of the new Monika Sprüth Philomene Magers Berlin will coincide with the launch of Schellmann Sprüth Magers Art Production in the same building, which will present a new edition by Jenny Holzer. Also, Image Movement, a store for art films designed by Rosemarie Trockel and Thea Djordjadze, will open at the entrance to the Berlin building.
