Mexico— Since it went upscale, tequila, like many social climbers, is cozying up to the art world. 1800 Silver, an artisanal tequila pioneer, has introduced limited-edition bottles, commissioned from nine young artists. Styles range from Jorge Alderete’s ’50s-inspired kitsch to Dosa Kim’s colorific nightmares. For the first time in tequila history, the visions start before you open the bottle.
