Luxrule Takes Over ArtparisBy ARTINFO

PARIS—Luxrule SA has taken over France Conventions, the organizer of artparis and artparis-AbuDhabi, it was announced today. Luxrule, an investment fund that specializes in fairs, has been managed Patrick Lecêtre, associate founder and head of the Blenheim Group since 1988. In 1994, Lecêtre launched Maison et Objet, a home collections fair.
Of the takeover, Lecêtre said: "Luxrule has always been passionate about architecture and design, both in France and across the globe. We are proud and happy to be able to support and participate in the future of one of the largest fairs for contemporary art." Caroline Clough-Lacoste, director of artparis and artpartis-AbuDhabi, said: "Thanks to this new partnership we will be able to reinforce the development of our fair for modern and contemporary art, in Paris as well as abroad." Artparis-AbuDhabi runs November 17–21 at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. The 11th edition of artparis will take place March 19–23, 2009, at the Grand Palais. |
