Swiss customs found a book of Picasso sketches in a man's luggage at the Zurich airport, Reuters reports. The book could be worth 1.2–1.7 million Swiss francs ($1–1.5 million). An auction house dated the drawings to May and June 1971.
The unidentified passenger failed to declare the 14 original drawings as is required by Swiss law and will be fined. Swiss authorities will continue to investigate if this incident could be part of a larger plot to smuggle cultural goods.
