Opening November 5 isanother solo exhibition, thisone titled “Analogue.” Theworks on view—by photographerZoe Leonarddocumentthe decline of local economiesdue to globalization.
Like a 21st-centuryEugène Atget, Leonardroamed the globe, takingclose to 400 photos of abandonedstreets and decrepitstorefronts with her 1940sRolleiflex camera. Workingwith the Hispanic Societystaff, she installed artifactsand navigational charts fromits collection that contextualizeher work within theinstitution.
