A two-day symposium and guided tours of the nearby Bode and Pergamon museums supplement the main event. “There’s such a scholarly presence, and we’re encouraged by that,” says Arcadia Fletcher, of London’s Sam Fogg, which is featuring an early 16th-century limewood figure of Saint Catherine of Alexandria ($180–270,000). Also participating is New York’s Blumka Gallery, which is bringing a French pièce de résistance from circa 1320: a stone Virgin and Child valued at $600,000.
