On October 20, the Whitney Museum of Art threw their annual Gala and Studio Party, sponsored by Versace, where contemporary art met high fashion, and a ritzy guest list celebrated in style. As part of the Whitney sponsorship, Donatella Versace collaborated with Julian Schnabel, Marc Quinn, and Wangechi Mutu to create one-of-a-kind jewelry to be put up for auction. And upon arrival, guests were greeted with Beth Campbells installation created especially for the Gala. As for the guest list, the standard art crowd of artists and high society members was shaken up with fashion world icons as well as pop culture favorites. Standouts include Sting and Trudie Styler, Julian Schnabel, Cindy Sherman, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Arden Wohl, Helena Christensen, and Evelyn and Leonard Lauder.

We also mingled at the “New Collectors” Party at the US Artists fine art show in Philadelphia last weekend and caught up with artist Cui Guotai at the opening for his solo show "Evidence Of A Lost Era" at China Square Gallery in New York earlier this month.
