Washington, D.C. painter Allison Reimuss “art jump” will take place at the Museum of Modern Art in New York tonight, according to the New York Times. MoMA is the latest institution to host the series launched by Reimus’s blog, jumpinginartmuseums.blogspot.com, which encourages people to jump at museums and galleries and to send in photos of themselves in mid-air.
Reimus explained, “Sometimes, while visiting art museums and galleries, I am so excited by what I see that I have to jump for joy.”
The jumping for joy begins at 6:30 p.m. at MoMA and lasts until 8:45 p.m. On a side note, MoMA will now stay open until 8:45 p.m. one Monday a month, starting with tonight.
