NEW YORK— The December days are shortening, and now that the frenzy of Art Basel Miami Beach is behind us, it might seem that in the art world, it's all downhill to the holidays. But for those who aren’t quite ready to yield to the partying and shopping, ARTINFO has selected some favorites from among New York’s current gallery offerings that not only continue unabated, but in many cases seem to offer a deliberate alternative to the season of so-called goodwill: All of a sudden the city seems full of provocative, political art.
