Leanne Shapton, a
New York Times art director and main squeeze of LB Media’s ex-editorial director
James Truman, offers a sardonic take on divorce — and the single-owner sales it breeds — in her faux auction catalogue, titled
Important Artifacts and Personal Property from t
he Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris (FSG). The slim volume, due out Valentine’s Day, offers a lot-by-lot take on a fictional relationship’s collapse — from the phone-number-emblazoned napkin that was traded at the couple’s first meeting (est. $15-20) to the stuffed squirrel (est. $50-75), left, they found while antiquing.
