The actor David Caruso, best known as Det. John Kelly on NYPD Blue and Lt. Horatio Caine on CSI: Miami, has entered the art world.

In 2008, Caruso formed Caruso Art “to produce intellectually stimulating art, including screenprints and digital renderings that represent American and global culture,” according to a press statement.

The first product of this venture, Chinerica I, a 30-by-40-inch limited-edition screenprint created in collaboration with artist Alan Locke, can be seen at L.A.'s Gallery Brown in the exhibition "Red, White and Yellow" from January 20 through March 20.
