Dancers and the work of visual artists will be sharing exhibition space this month in London, as choreographer Siobhan Davies and gallerist Victoria Miro present "The Collection." The project, which includes commissioned works by Davies’s lauded dance company performed live alongside installations by Conrad Shawcross, Susan Philipsz, Anri Sala, and Idris Kahn, among others, aims to explore the connections and disconnects between contemporary dance and its visual counterpart. "I love the fact that it is primitive and pagan and beautiful," Davies has said of her field. "But there has to be a way of expanding it into a bigger set of ideas."
