Police in Las Vegas have arrested a man suspected of stealing about $500,000 worth of art from galleries in Laguna Beach and West Hollywood 10 years ago, the AP reports.
The police were given a tip by the Orange County district attorney's office, which led them to the home of Joseph Killebrew, where several of the missing paintings were hanging on the walls.
Laguna Beach police Sgt. Jason Kravetz says that Killebrew stole the paintings in 1999 and was living under the name Michael Palmer. Authorities will seek his extradition to Orange County, but he will most likely be charged in Los Angeles County. It is unclear what will happen to the art.
