The New Museum announced today that the artists Mark Bradford from Los Angeles and Rudolf Stingel from New York have each produced a series of original work to benefit the museum. The works will be presented at the New Museum's booth at the Armory Show later this week.

Stingel created 30 unique paintings by covering a section of his studio floor with a gold-primed canvas and subjecting it to everyday wear-and-tear such as shoe scuffs, paint splatters, dirt, and cigarette stubs. The canvas was cut and stretched into smaller works that will be reassembled in the New Museum booth at the fair.

Bradford has donated seven soccer-ball inspired sculptures made from papier maché, newspaper, and advertisements; the works reference maps, networks, and the earth.
