Police in New Haven recovered tens of thousands of dollars worth of art stolen from a Yale art gallery over the weekend, the Associated Press reports. The two dozen paintings, worth an estimated $40,000, were found in the home of Bruno Nestir, who police believe stole and planned to sell the works to help pay for drugs.
Also found at Nestir's home was art stolen from the local public library, worth roughly $6,000.
Nestir is facing drug and larceny charges.
