Taking full advantage of the buyer’s market was the sculpture-savvy jewelry magnate Laurence Graff, who bagged a handful of bronzes: Henry Moore’s 9 1/4-inch-high Family Group (est. £400-600,000; $573-860,000), for £481,250 ($689,000) and Alberto Giacometti’s Annette d’après nature (est. £800,000- 1.2 million; $1.5-1.7 million), which stands nearly two feet tall, for £937,250 ($1.3 million).  "Impressionist & Modern Art" originally appeared in the May 2009 issue of Art+Auction.
