Published: April 30, 2009
"Louise Nevelson: Dawns and Dusks," which opened today, features a collection of works highlighting the influential sculptor’s career from the 1950s to the 1980s. Some of the works have never been shown before. The exhibition includes a large-scale, painted black monochrome wood wall relief and freestanding sculptures ranging in size up to nearly 10 by 12 feet. Also on view are mixed-media collages on paper and board, which incorporate such materials as wood, paper, newsprint, paint, vinyl, metal, and other found objects. The exhibition will be on view through June 14 at the Louise Blouin Foundation, 3 Olaf Street, Holland Park, London. |
