Chan, Pfeiffer Receive Alpert Awards

NEW YORK— Artists Paul Chan and Paul Pfeiffer are among the recipients of this year’s Alpert Award in the Arts, Artforum reports. The award, which is sponsored by the Herb Alpert Foundation and administered by CalArts, bestows an unrestricted $75,000 cash prize to each of the recipients.

Seventy artists have been awarded the fellowship since it began 15 years ago, among them Walid Raad, Christian Marclay, Catherine Opie, Cai Guo Qiang, and Jim Hodges.
