During the episode, Maggie (voiced by Jodie Foster) creates out of toy blocks miniature versions of the Roman Coliseum, the Empire State Building, and Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Gehry-designed building that opened in Los Angeles in 2003. But her day-care center teacher is not impressed and destroys the creations.

The architect guest-starred on the Fox animated show in 2005, in an episode where Marge convinces the Springfield Cultural Activities Board to fund a concert hall designed by Gehry.
