311 lots sold for $1.5 million CHICAGO—Top lot: The sale’s two highest prices were paid for pieces by the American designer Paul Evans, whose circa 1970 faceted cabinet fashioned from chrome-plated steel and enameled fiberglass soared past its high estimate to $44,375, proving that the market for this postwar designer is still going strong.
