Secret Banksy Show Opens Tomorrow
Published: June 12, 2009
Banksy, the super-elusive (and also now super-well-earning) street artist, is displaying more than 100 works at the City Museum and Art Gallery in his hometown of Bristol this summer, about 70 of which are new, including a model of an overturned ice cream truck with a giant cone dripping over it. The exhibition, which opens tomorrow, had been kept secret from the media, local politicians, and even museum staff until today. The show will be open to the public, free of charge, until the end of August. It's expected to draw more than 100,000 visitors. |
