BETHESDA, Md.—Top lot: A 1713 depiction of Mary Magdalene anointing the feet of Christ, painted by the Venetian Sebastiano Ricci, whose virtuoso use of color anticipated Tiepolo’s, brought $145,000, far more than its estimate of $10,000 to $15,000.
