Chelsea Thursday Nights
Published: July 17, 2009
NEW YORK—New York's biggest gallery neighborhood was at it again last night, as artists, dealers, and other art-worlders streamed out to Chelsea for opening receptions at Brenda Taylor Gallery, Kips Gallery, Freight+Volume, Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, and artist Paul Kolker's Studio 601, among others. Stux Gallery also hosted a performance titled Golden Dreams and Golden Streams by artist Barnaby Whitfield, which served as a closing ceremony of sorts for the group exhibition "Low Blow: And Other Species of Confusion." As usual, ARTINFO was there to capture some of the action.
