The Frieze Art Fair has, for now, opted to delay a foray into reality TV.

Producers of the BBC’s The Apprentice approached the organizers of the prestigious art event and suggested a story line in which contestants would have to compete to sell art at the fair. Sources at Frieze, however, seemed to think that The Apprentice was not a natural match for their event, as the fair is known for its strict selection of stand-holders and dignified atmosphere. They declined the invitation.
