THEME: Live and Let Live: Creators of Tomorrow. A selection committee composed of professors, artists and curators were motivated by visions of a brighter future when they picked artists from 21 Asian countries. PARTICIPANTS: 43. The biggest star in this all-Asian lineup is the Indian powerhouse Subodh Gupta, whose signature kitchen-utensil sculptures are instantly recognizable. DON'T MISS: Python’s Tail, 2000, Huang Yong Ping’s installation consisting of a 131-foot-long wooden snake skeleton, which was first unfurled in a German town. "4th Fukuoka, Asian Art Triennale" originally appeared in the September 2009 issue of Art+Auction.
