THEME: Against Exclusion. Curator Jean-Hubert Martin strove to be inclusive in his shows by sampling a staggering range of work from around the globe.

PARTICIPANTS: 79. The talents are diverse, from boldface names like Marina Abramovic to such emerging figures as the Aborginal artist Nawurapu Wunungmurra, plus Russian stalwarts like the collective AES+F.

DON'T MISS: Vik Muniz’s “Pictures of Garbage” series of photographs depicting oddly picturesque assemblages of detritus that the Brazilian artist collected from the largest trash dump in Latin America.
