Luxe Moves and Becomes Stephan Stoyanov Gallery

Published: September 3, 2009
NEW YORK—Rumors about galleries going out of business have become commonplace in today’s art world, but Romina Djelosevic, manager for the Luxe Gallery, located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, announced today that the business, which closed its Stanton Street space earlier this summer, is only moving and changing its name.

When the gallery's show of Marie Maillard’s work opens on September 9, it will be seven blocks further south at 29 Orchard Street, operating under the name Stephan Stoyanov Gallery. Stoyvanov has been the gallery’s director since it opened seven years ago on 57th Street. It moved downtown to the burgeoning gallery district below East Houston Street in 2007.

The gallery’s roster includes Heather Bennett, Ellen Harvey, and Pia Lindman.
