Whispers about Larry Gagosian opening a gallery in Paris have been circulating for weeks, but the notoriously tight-lipped mega-dealer has kept details — or even confirmation — close.
A report released today gives legs to the rumor: According to Bloomberg, several (unnamed) dealers said that the gallery is in talks to acquire a space in the 8th arrondissement near the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore.
Next week Gagosian will supplement his stable of galleries in New York, Beverly Hills, London, and Rome with a retail shop on New York's Upper East Side.
