Polke Painting Stolen From His Studio

The missing work, Untitled—Oil on Drape (1969), has never been exhibited, according to the Süddeutsche Zeitung. A Düsseldorf art shipper was offered the work at a low price and contacted Polke, who then discovered it was missing. Police say the painting could have been stolen only by someone who had access to the studio. |
