Margaret Thatcher Projects Moves Up By Moving Downstairs

NEW YORK—Margaret Thatcher Projects will soon take advantage of the many gallery relocations occurring in New York and move from an upper floor to a more high-traffic, ground floor space on Chelsea’s West 23rd St. Thatcher (no relation to that other famous Margaret Thatcher), a former administrator at the Dia Center for the Arts, opened her first gallery in 1998. Her new space replaces Caren Golden Fine Art — now listed as being located on the Upper East Side — and will open on Oct. 15 with an exhibition called “Shift,” which will feature new work by Bill Thompson (no relation to the current New York mayoral candidate).
