Contents from Three Country Houses 552 lots sold for £1,098,253 ($1,795,696) DONNING PRIORY, U.K.—Top lot: Despite marks, scratches, stains and the replacement of its original leather upholstery, a circa 1770 George III carved-mahogany Gainsborough armchair fetched £110,000 ($179,882), more than 15 times its high estimate of £7,000 ($8,176).
