Christophe Van de Weghe Moves Up and East

Published: October 7, 2009
NEW YORK—Art dealer Christophe Van de Weghe is moving on up to the Upper East Side, having just purchased a five-story townhouse that he will use partly as a showroom. For now, though, he will continue to operate from his gallery at 1018 Madison Avenue, as construction on the townhouse is expected to last two years.

Van de Weghe also owns a space on West 23rd Street, which he has recently leased to photographer Stephen Kasher after using it as a gallery this summer. Van de Weghe specializes in big-ticket items and artists, like Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basqiuat.
