Creditors Seize Dutch Museum’s Art Collection

The paintings were owned by DSB Beheer, which owns DSB Bank and was declared bankrupt this week. It now appears that Dirk Scheringa pledged the paintings at the museum as collateral for the loan. Officials at the museum estimated the total value of the works at $60 million. The collection includes works by Dutch magic realists like Carel Willink and Dick Ket. |
