Hill-Sanders have left Berry-Hill to form their own private gallery, Collisart, located on New
York’s Upper East Side.
· Franklin Sirmans is quitting his post as curator of modern and contemporary art at the Menil Collection, in Houston, where he’s been since 2006, to join the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as chief curator of contemporary art, starting in January 2010. · Lucy Mitchell-Innes, of the New York gallery Mitchell-Innes & Nash, is the newly elected president of the Art Dealers Association of America. · Sarah Gavlak is relocating her Palm Beach gallery to a building owned by the collector Jane Holzer on Worth Avenue. · Michael Werner and Gordon VeneKlasen, of Michael Werner Gallery, in New York and Cologne, have opened VW, a project space devoted to emerging art, in Berlin’s Mitte section.
