Christophe Côme "Irregular Enfilade cabinet" (2007)
NEW YORK—The French designer
Christophe Côme crafts furniture and lighting from melted, molded and
carved glass lenses and industrial crystal, often pairing those materials with wrought iron. His
first solo show in the U.S., at
Cristina Grajales, in New York, from November 5 through December 24,
includes 30 examples of his metal-shop alchemy, from cabinets and mirrors to lamps and screens. His
2007
Irregular Enfilade cabinet ($60,000), is a streamlined update of the Art Nouveau designs of
fin de siècle Paris.
