The Scottish Sale: Books 79 lots sold for £60,204 ($95,608) EDINBURGH—Top lot: A 1793 copy of the Scottish legal writer Thomas Mathison’s satirical poem The Goff, about a game of golf played on Edinburgh’s venerable Leith Links, shot a hole in one, selling for £25,800 ($40,972).
