The most controversial show slated for any major New York museum this year — so far, at least — had a hitchless opening on Tuesday night. With nary a protester in sight, guests like 1980s pop singer Cyndi Lauper and U2 guitarist The Edge streamed into the galleries to see Jeff Koons's tribute to free love and unashamedly open sexuality, curated from the holdings of billionaire Greek collector Dakis Joannou.
